In La Puente, Calif. you may be inclined to tip your hat to the 3rd of July. That’s when the fireworks explode in the sky at the annual, free Independence Day Celebration. For some it seems a little “off” to celebrate the nation’s birthday one day early. But for local fire and police it frees them up to help fill work shifts on the busy July 4th holiday. Guests attending July 3rd events say it’s like celebrating your birthday two days in a row.
