Spring Break is a monumental rite of passage for college students and young adults all over the world — but is it safe? Fox News recently went to South Padre Island, Texas, to show students drinking, cussing and getting wasted, and asked, “Is this safe for your kids?”

  • PALM DESERT: Once the Spring Break Capital, it no longer aggressively targets the student crowd.
  • SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACHES: Over 150 million people see California beaches annually! The air and water temp is cool, and permits for beach concerts serving liquor have restrictions. Spring Break action tends toward family, health, and safety.
  • LAS VEGAS: California’s students like Las Vegas Spring Break pool parties, close access and affordability. Over 41 million people see Las Vegas each year!

Spring Break travel company, Student City (studentcity.com) says, “For wild day parties and awesome beach bars at an affordable price”try these:

  • SOUTH PADRE ISLAND: #1 student destination
