Working on Thanksgiving

Although shoppers have mostly warmed up to the idea of Thanksgiving Day stores being open, some still hold out for the concept that everybody should take the day off. Workers across California on Thanksgiving Day will be baking food, serving meals, cleaning dishes, ringing up sales, helping customers at department and discount stores, and even issuing ice skates at seasonal rinks such as Holiday Ice Rink at Pershing Square in Los Angeles (pictured). From the award-winning CHILL in Long Beach to Disneyland, there are some incredibly fun things to do on Thanksgiving Day.  There is no general rule of thumb as to what’s open and what isn’t. Your best bet is to call and confirm or look at their website.
