Auburn May Be Old, But It's Still Got Gold! Visit and Enjoy

AUBURN, CALIF.- While many are scrambling to keep up with their jobs as things get lost in the shuffle, there's one non-profit organization that doesn't miss a beat, and thanks to Auburn Chamber of Commerce, tourists can find an amazing list of events to help them discover that this Old West city in California's Gold Country is really happening.

When you visit and explore its authentic buildings set on hills, you'll discover shop owners eager to tell you about the history that surrounds so many artifacts. Regularly featured history tours led by docents are held Saturdays, providing an overview and highlights you may have missed. Walking Tour of Historical Old Town Auburn meets at the Courthouse Museum at 10 a.m. You can also visit art galleries, shop at the Foothills Farmer's Market, watch a play at Placer Community Theater, and during special events throughout the year, you can kick up your heels.

On April 23 & 24, 2011, Wild West Stampede Rodeo at the Gold Country Fairgrounds provides action-packed thrills with California Cowgirls, Bull Riding, Bareback & Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping and Budweiser Clydesdales. Miss Auburn Stampede and Miss Jr. Stampede will be crowned during Saturday Performance.
