Don't Burst This Bubble Trying to Break A World Record!

SANTA ANA, CA. Celebrating the 15th anniversary of a popular spring break event Bubblefest in April is no easy event, especially when the stakes are high. Bubblefest XV has invited the world-renown Yang family (Fan Yang and his son Deni Yang,) who will attempt to encapsulate 150 people inside a single bubble, and break the record of 94 people as recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. On Monday, April 4, 2011 at noon the stage will be set for a feat you've likely never witnessed.

Known for their unique and stunning artistry, the Yangs perform four Mega Bubble Shows daily during Bubblefest — 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. This visually astonishing show is a high-tech combination of art and science using bubbles, lights and special effects. It includes bubble carousels, bubbles within bubbles, smoking bubbles, spinning bubbles, bouncing bubbles and bubbles in all shapes and sizes.

Bubblefest is included with general admission to Discovery Science Center. The daily Mega Bubble Shows require a separate fee of $7. Location: 2500 N. Main St., Santa Ana, Calif., open Mon. – Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. -discoverycube.org.
