In typical party fashion, it looks like those happy-go-lucky, beer drinking Germans are going to close out the 2011 Oktoberfest season in Southern California, squeezing in one last Chicken Dance on October 30, then ditching the dirndls and lederhosen for Halloween celebrations on October 31.

Well-deserved, “party hearty” bastions of Oktoberfesting include Anaheim, Huntington Beach, San Clemente and Big Bear Lake–in these cities you can celebrate with one last mug of beer, a salted pretzel, polka and cheer on October 30. Until next year, Auf Wiedersehen (good by!)
