16 Splendid Waterfalls to See This Spring in California

It's that time of year when outdoor enthusiasts are planning their treks to see California's great waterfalls. We recently reported about the spectacular falls at Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County. However, the California State Parks aren't too shabby when it comes to waterfalls. The State Parks include 16 waterfall attractions. Shown above is Burney Falls at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park in Shasta County. In the heart of Los Angeles are waterfalls at Topanga State Park. Topanga Canyon Water Fall is a beautiful ribbon water fall that can be seen from Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Highway 27, after significant rainfall. North of the Golden Gate and San Francisco you can see Kent Canyon Falls at Mount Tamalpais State Park in Marin County. The state parks include waterfalls, places for weddings, surfing spots, museums with over 1 million artifacts in the state's extensive collection, lighthouses, off road parks and even redwood forests. There's a treasure trove of things to see in California, and the state parks provide many great attractions, including the splendid waterfalls that peak in spring-starting now. parks.ca.gov
