When attending a whale festival in Rancho Palos Verdes (in Los Angeles County's coastal area,) I met the parks & recreation manager for the city. He asked if I'd visited some of the great parks in Rancho PV and I answered that I hadn't. He said it was well worth a drive when heading out of town to stop and see Del Cerro Park. I made the short trip up to the top of hill, parked my car, and walked up another hill with a green lawn. Wow! The top of the park is breath-takingly beautiful. It is one of the best views in all of California. Do check it out!
