Of fresh flower purchases only, Valentine’s Day ranks No. 1, capturing 36% of holiday transactions and 40% of holiday dollar volume. Here are more flower statistics. Valentine’s Day is the No. 1 holiday for florists, according to the Society of American Florists. In California, the top U.S. grower of most flowers, a variety of botanical gardens and flower festivals can be seen and experienced all year long.

Flowers are typically perceived as rose bouquets, mixed flower bouquets or long-stemmed roses delivered in a box. However, if you’re looking for ways to make someone’s wheels spin, there are lots of ways to say it with flowers throughout the year.
