Ghost Squadron Halloween Bash in Camarillo, Calif.

If you haven’t heard of Camarillo, you’re in for a ghostly surprise this Halloween at the Ghost Squadron bash. The city that recently formed a destination marketing organization with its Central Coast /Ventura County beach neighbors–Oxnard & Ventura–is expected to be on the map once the publicity campaign is rolled out.

Meanwhile, we’re alerting insiders about a special event in the jewel of city known for its massive, white Camarillo horses that march in parades, the historic (and some say haunted) Camarillo Ranch, and Ghost Squadron aircraft museum. An adrenaline-packed party in an airplane hangar wing at Camarillo Airport (off Hwy I-101) is a hauntingly happening event where costume-clad creatures will be surrounded by historical WWII Warbird planes from the Ghost Squadron fleet. Come in costume and dance the night away to bands whose members come from ghostly 80s metal groups: Guns N’ Roses, Alice in Chains and L.A. Guns. White Leppard and Nawgahyde will perform.
