Don't Knock Glass Houses — Glass Museum in Redlands

Historical Glass Museum in Redlands has a lot of glass-over 6,000 specimens, to be exact. One of the growing elements in the collection is Celebrity Glass, a showcase of objects owned by stars. The glass museum has glass items as old as early 18th century, but really enjoys building the movie star & celebrity collection. To date they have some glass objects from the Liberace estate, and from Harold Lloyd, famous actor/director of the early 20th century launch of Hollywood movies. If you happen to be passing by on Highway 38 that goes to Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains, you'll pass right by the green Victorian house where the museum is located. It is open on weekends and doesn't charge admission. If you have celebrity glass, they want to hear from you to see if you will donate pieces. Check out glassmuseums.com
