Paul Bunyan and Babe Shrouded in Mystery

KLAMATH, CALIF.- No one can say for certain how the giant logger Paul Bunyan came to be, as his trail and deeds are shrouded in Mystery at Trees of Mystery in Klamath, California. Located in the tallest redwood forests in the world, the wooden carved Bunyan and his blue ox are one of the most photographed statues in the entire northwest. Part of a tourist attraction that includes a gift shop, hiking trail, unique redwoods, and privately owned Native American museum (considered one of the best in the world,) be sure to stop and enjoy the trees when making the drive between Arcata and Crescent City.

While the mega- Paul Bunyan Bluegrass Festival reigned supreme in Klamath for 20 years, a new event has taken hold and will be back for its 3rd year this fall. Klamath is celebrating its 3rd Annual Blackberry Festival in 2011. In Maine there's a Paul Bunyan Bluegrass Festival that continues to provide annual licks & jams for fiddlers, guitarists, and music lovers who want to listen to great tunes, and share the American lore of a giant logger named Paul Bunyan.
