On Saturday, May 14, 2011, the first round of the 2nd Annual West Coast Rockabilly Showdown pits three great rockabilly bands for one winner of the day to compete in the finals. 12 unsigned rockabilly bands selected from an electronic audition are featured over a series of Saturdays in May, June and July. This week they include the Orange County based Altar Billies at noon, The Sidewynders from Los Angeles County at 1 p.m. and Gino & the Lone Gunmen from San Diego County at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, May 15, 2011, the free summer concert series launches with the all star musical cast of the West Coast Tour of The Beatles Tribute Show. In My Life, a musical tribute to the Beatles that toured the Western United States in 2009 to 2010, is restaged on the concert stage in Costa Mesa's outdoor venue. Abbey Road band appears with custom-tailored costumes, vintage instruments and attention to every detail, recreating the magic, music and charm of the Beatles.
