Seal Beach, Calif.-When the unincorporated Sunset Beach in Orange County, Calif. requested that Seal Beach annex it and that city declined, to say that the residents of Sunset Beach were disappointed was an understatement. Seal Beach is known for its small town ways, its shady, tree-lined Main Street, and somewhat conservative stance to growth. As one of the few cities in Orange County that actually had a surplus America's great 21st century depression, Seal Beach must be doing something right. The city has free parking on its streets.
