The most bodacious entertainment this side of Las Vegas, "Pride" in California offers many celebrations throughout the state, but only one Prince Poppycock (princepoppycock.com), who returns to the LA Pride Festival in West Hollywood on Saturday, June 11, 2011.

June bustles with entertainment and events as tourists take to the roads to get away. But it is also a month filled with annual traditions such as Father's Day celebration, and Pride festivals. In California major pride events occur in San Francisco, San Diego (in July), Long Beach and West Hollywood. One of the oldest, best attended celebrations, LA Pride, launched after Stonewall Riots on June 28, 1969 at New York City's Stonewall gay bar. Los Angeles Gay Pride began a year after that event and celebrates its 41st anniversary in 2011. Produced by Christopher Street West, it happens in L.A.'s most gay-identified area, the city of West Hollywood. From June 10 -12, concert stages with the most lavish costumes and outrageous performers will entertain the public at a festival that includes a parade and three days of music, cocktails, and entertainment.

Three-time US champion, two-time Olympian and World medalist, Johnny Weir, is the Grand Marshal of the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 12, 2011. The star of his own reality show-Be Good Johnny Weir-on the Sundance Channel, supports and promotes many worthy causes around the globe.
