When you ask for "ocean" in California, most locals will point you toward the beach. That's great, but you may be looking for a road, boulevard, avenue or street. Then what?

Nearly every beach city in California has an "Ocean" (here's a list) and usually the Ocean street is near a beach and the Pacific. When you travel the coast, look for the signs and chances are pretty good that if you see an "Ocean" street, you're on the road that parallels or goes to a beach. Happy travels!
