Oakland Zoo is GLOWFARI, a wildly illuminated nighttime lantern festival! The family-friendly experience features hundreds of larger-than-life animal lanterns throughout the Zoo, storytelling the ongoing journey of wildlife, the importance of every species on our planet, and Oakland Zoo's commitment to conservation. Dozens of towering and even interactive, glowing lanterns of every order await to entertain and enlighten you at every turn.

* See illuminated and dazzling lanterns
* Ice-capped 15-foot tall penguin corridor
* Full-size elephants, giraffes, and lions
* Enormous, fluttering butterflies
* Star-filled night sky
* Ride lit gondolas to visit California Trail
* Travel in time to a dinosaur world
* See prehistoric T-rex, stegosaurus, pterodactyls and more!

Your nighttime, illuminated adventure awaits. Hundreds of larger-than-life glowing animal lanterns throughout the Zoo with all-new animals displays introduced in 2021 in this mile-long illuminated stroll through the Zoo. Visit the desert with camels and bighorn sheep, have an African safari adventure with elephants, giraffes, and an 8-foot crocodile head, walk through the forests of Asia to meet red and giant pandas - and of course ride the gondola to the land of bugs featuring a 65-foot Queen Ant Tunnel! Finish the evening with a visit to Santa and ride the Express Train through Winter Wonderland!

*Advance ticket purchase is required. Adventure Landing (rides area) will be closed for Glowfari. Proceeds from Glowfari support Oakland Zoo's operating expenses, animal care, education and conservation programs. All Glowfari tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE unless there is a Zoo closure.
