Huntington State Beach is located on the southern end of the 9.3 miles of beaches in Huntington Beach California. It borders Huntington City Beach to the north and Newport City Beach to the south. It is one of California's top state beaches, ranking 5th in California State Parks attendance.

As one of Orange County beaches it may qualify for parking admission through a state parks pass. Check your pass for details. The beach is located on Pacific Coast Highway with street access points intersections with Beach Blvd., Magnolia and Brookhurst. Parking fees are usually between $15 & 20, but like anything, that changes. The fees are flat fee for the day. Whether you park 1 hour or 1 minute, you pay the same.

Huntington State Beach is known for its fire rings, views of Huntington Beach Pier and close proximity to downtown on its north end near Beach Blvd. During the summer months you'll find food concessions are open, and there are volleyball sand courts, bike rentals, and the paved beach path shared by sports enthusiasts and visitors for multi-purpose use. Dogs aren't allowed at this beach.

Bolsa Chica State Beach is the other state beach in Huntington Beach. It is separated from Huntington State Beach by Huntington City Beach.
