First comes the Solvang Julefest Tree Lighting, and then comes the parade, sometimes the next day. Solvang Julefest Parade launches at Solvang Veterans Hall (1745 Mission Drive) travels west on Mission Drive, turns left on Fourth Place, turns left on Copenhagen Drive, and ends on Alisal Road near the village Post Office.

300+ participants including dancers, musical groups, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages and animals. Be on the lookout for Santa . . . as well as the Grand Marshal.

Entries include Danish dancers, musical groups, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages and animals. Santa Claus will be available for visits and photos in Solvang Park post-parade.

Solvang isn't just a one holiday city. Though Julefest tends to be one of the biggest special events of the year, other great events include Taste of Solvang and Halloween Haunted House.
