Pioneer Park Picnic & Pops Concerts Nevada County Concert Band presents Pioneer Park Picnic & Pops concert series. Goodies from the hot dog or ice cream vendors sold on site. The 80-member Nevada Concert Band always puts on a great show, often providing surprises at each performance. All concerts are family-oriented, dog-friendly, and FREE.

2024 Concerts

June 23, 2024 Picnic Pops Concert #1 at Pioneer Park

Tuesday July 4, 2024 Independence Day curbside concert, downtown Nevada City, with a 1-hour concert before the parade and then intermittently throughout.

 July 28, 2024 Picnic Pops Concert #2 at Pioneer Park 5-6:30pm

Saturday August 10th, 2024 Pine Tree Stage Pops Concert at the Fair, Nevada County Fairgrounds’ Pine Tree Stage, Grass Valley, time TBD.

 August 25, 2024 Picnic Pops Concert at Pioneer Park, 5:00 – 6:30pm

Saturday September 14, 2024 Pops Concert as part of Constitution Day Celebration events, North Pine Street (closed to traffic), Nevada City from 4:30-6pm

Nevada City historic district is closed to motorized traffic and filled with arts, crafts, classic cars, food, drink and music during Summer Nights. Leading Sierra foothills musicians perform on outdoor stages throughout the downtown area. Fabulous Music! Put on your dancing shoes and come on out to hear favorite oldies and more.
