Bring out the lawn chairs, gather up the family and join in the fun at the free summer concerts in South El Monte, California. Concerts in the Park is an annual tradition which takes place in the park. Bring blankets, bring chairs, picnic baskets and relax. Concerts take place every other Thursday, in general. Find your way to the front lawn of the school yard where the crowd convenes and the band gets ready to swing.

Two-day Independence Day Celebration includes the Fireworks Show and concert  at the High School on July 3, 2025. On July 4, 2025 the City of South El Monte celebrates with a picnic and concert with two bands. This event takes place at New Temple Park.
