Chowchilla Fairgrounds  Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 27, 2012, 4 p.m.

Beginning at 5:00pm, rain or shine, kids ages 2-18 will trick or treat from trunk to trunk. Each trunk will be decorated in Halloween fun. The event is free and will be followed with Movie in the Park at 7 p.m. If you'd like to decorate a trunk & pass out candy, or for more info, call them at (559) 665-3728.  Location: Chowchilla Fairgrounds & Event Center's "Trunk or Treat" at Fairgrounds, 1000 S.Third St.

Business owners, organizations, and local community members will decorate the trunk of their cars and pass out candy to children ages 2-12. In addition to the trunk or treating there will be a costume contest for the kids, carnival games for all ages, food booths, and a movie in the park. Admission is $1 for ages 2 and up. Trunk or Treat will begin at 4 p.m., rain or shine.

The Chowchilla Lioness Lions Club, in conjunction with the Lions, Rotary, & Soroptimist Clubs, will bring back a favorite event of the past. There will be a costume contest, carnival games, and prizes at the Sports Center/Wilson Gym. This free event is for kids of all ages.

All activities/food are free: includes hot dog dinner, cotton candy, popcorn, bounce houses, face painting, cake walk, balloons, numerous game booths, free drawings throughout the evening for prizes, and more. Look for large tents at corner of Kings Avenue and Third Street for safe, family-friendly fun.
