Costume Contest and Parade of Characters, Dog Costume Contest, Activity Booths, Library Storytime, Parachute Games and Photo Booth.
City of Monrovia Department of Community Services hosts an annual Halloween event at Monrovia Library. The afternoon is filled with ghoulish fun for the entire family. The popular Costume Contest is free of charge. Costume Contest registration begins at 3 p.m.

Dogs! Don't forget to register your pooch in the Dog Costume Contest! This event is offered in cooperation with the Santa Anita Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills.

  • Parade of Characters age 0-2 years 3:35 p.m. | age 3-4 years 3:55 p.m. | age 5-7 years 4:15 p.m. | age 8-10 years 4:35 p.m. | age 11-14 years 4:55 p.m. | Family 5:15 p.m.

The Trick-or-Treat portion will be held rain or shine and the Costume Contest will be held in the Community Center in the event of rain.

Other Halloween events sometimes include a Cemetery Walk, and throughout the year you'll also enjoy the Monrovia free summer concerts.
