Held during Farmer's Market, participating merchants and vendors hand out treats to market-goers throughout the night. The trail map will be available. Merchants are advised to be prepared to distribute candy to approx. 1,000 trick or treaters.

Halloween Costume Contest  in Mission Plaza
The contest is free to enter!
Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in

• ages 0-2 years
• ages 3-4 years
• ages 5-8 years
• ages 9-12 years
• groups, couples, etc., including parents, pets, and older children (pets are only allowed at the Costume Contest but not at the Market)

Scary-oke contest takes place  6-9 p.m. with Coast 104.5 officiating on Charro Street at Higuera

SLO Pumpkin Smash

The public is invited to bring their pumpkins for the annual Pumpkin Smash. There's the BIG, messy Pumpkin Smash, Lawn Games, Food Trucks and Compost Giveawawy.

Please remove all ornamentation, candles and decorations. Do not bring painted pumpkins!

Join the Parks and Recreation Department for a family friendly costume party and haunted house. Youngsters (and their families) will enjoy food, games and activities, as well as partake in a spooky haunted park. All Boo Bash attendees are asked to bring a canned food to be donated to the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County. 

Other holiday traditions include the annual Christmas Parade, Santa's Workshop and Tree Lighting Ceremony.
