The Halloween Parade: The parade begins at Kersting Court and is lead by the Sierra Madre Fire Department to the Sierra Madre Memorial Park Bandshell, where the costume contest is held at 5:30 p.m.
Prizes are awarded to the top three costumes in each of the age categories. For more information contact the Recreation Supervisor at (626) 355-5278, extension 704.
On Halloween, kids are invited to bring their folks and trick or treat in Downtown Sierra Madre.
In an time honored tradition, businesses owners open their doors for the little ghost and goblins
from 3 to 5 p.m., then the children stick around to participate in the Halloween parade along Sierra Madre Blvd.

5:30 PM Costume Contest - Participants are judged in the following age categories: walking-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-7 years, 8-10 years, and 11 and up.
*All activities are absolutely free. Prizes for the Costume Contest are provided by the Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club.
October 26, 2013, 8-11 a.m. The Halloween Window Painting Contest 2013
The Halloween Window Painting Contest, hosted by the Sierra Madre Civic Club, is October 25th & 26th. The contest is open to ages 9-17 and this year will be free for all participants! Applications are available at the Community Services office and at the Front Desk at City Hall. Applications are due back to these City locations by 5pm on Monday, October 14th. Paintings of windows will occur on Friday, October 25th from 2:30pm to 6pm and on Saturday, October 26th from 8am to 11am. Judging will follow and prizes awarded by age groups at 12:15 that day.
