10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to view over 600 species and varieties of Central Coast wildflowers. The Monterey Bay Chapter of the California Native Plant Society partners with the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History to make this Wildflower Show the largest in the Northern and Western Hemispheres in terms of number of species and varieties represented. Show events include Jack Muir Laws, noted scientific illustrator, offering wildflower sketch classes.

9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
A Pacific Grove tradition!! Monterey County's largest arts and crafts show, featuring over 225 art and food vendors in downtown Pacific Grove, a parade down Pine Avenue that starts at 10 am, live entertainment on five stages, old-fashioned games and contests and lots of family fun. Free admission.

The City of Pacific Grove and Tri-California sponsor this event. Experience The Triathlon at Pacific Grove. Start with the unique "Kelp Crawl" swim and then enjoy the looped bike and run courses surrounding Lovers Point. The 2012 event will again feature two days of racing along the picturesque California coast. On Friday, September 7, come out for the Sports Expo at Lovers Point from 12pm – 7pm. Olympic distance triathlon and 10k fun run will be on Saturday, September 8, and our Sprint distance triathlon and 5k fun run will be on Sunday, September 9. "

September 9, 2012 Cherry's Jubilee - Show & Shine
Cherry's Jubilee returns to Pacific Grove for an added feature of Saturday's Show and Shine. It's a stress-free bonus for Cherry's Jubilee participants, who can cruise the shoreline and quiet, cottage-lined streets of the Victorian-era resort town before taking advantage of the ample diagonal parking on Lighthouse Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove.

October 6, 2012 73rd Annual Butterfly Parade and Bazaar 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The children in costume of Pacific Grove will be participating in the 73rd Annual Butterfly Parade to welcome the monarchs back to "Butterfly Town USA" for the winter. Immediately following the parade is the Butterfly Bazaar behind the school. Free admission and there will be a Raffle Drawing (which includes a flat screen TV and 50/50 cash drawing), carnival games & prizes, food, and bake sale. Proceeds benefit Forest Grove Elementary, Robert Down Elementary, Pacific Grove Middle School, and Pacific Grove High School PTAs.
The parade starts at Robert H. Down on Pine Avenue and will head down Fountain Avenue to Lighthouse Avenue, up 17th Street and conclude on Pine Avenue by returning to the school.

October 7, 2012 43rd Annual Historic Home Tour
A tour of prime and selected Victorian and historic homes, bed & breakfast inns, and churches. Docents provide a history of each location, highlighting Pacific Grove's traditional hospitality. Co-sponsored by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Heritage Society.

November 18, 2012 2012 Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The scenic PG coastline is showcased to thousands of runners at the Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay. The gently-rolling, 13.1 mile course travels through historic Monterey, down Cannery Row, along Ocean View Blvd., into downtown Pacific Grove and along the coast to Asilomar and back. Shorter distance 3K and 5K races take place in PG on Saturday morning (November 17) or race weekend.
