SAN DIEGO - September 9, 2011 San Diego Festival of Beer, San Diego, CA The 17th annual San Diego Festival of Beer is held downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter. This evening event, which has been expanded this year,  features more than 150 beers from 70 breweries, most of the from the San Diego area. There is a selection of wines, food, and live bands performing on two stages. The festival is a benefit for San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, with all proceeds benefitting local cancer charities. SAN DIEGO - September 24, 2011 San Diego County Beer Fair, San Diego, CA The 2011 edition of the San Diego County Beer Fair is held at Liberty Station at Ingram Plaza. This afternoon event features craft-brewed beer to sample, food from local restaurants, live music, street performers, non-traditional fair entertainment, and interactive games. There is a meet the brewers VIP session, and a heavy focus on learning about brewing. The festival is a fund-raiser for local non-profits. Time: 1 - 4 p.m. Cost: $35.
