Annual Flower Power Festival and Daffodil Explosion held each year in March invites the public to experience the thousands of blooming daffodils in beautiful shades of yellow and orange. The renewal of Spring in Point Arena in Mendocino County is the focal point of the Point Arena Merchants Association Annual Flower Power Festival and Daffodil Explosion.
Flower lovers know that spring on the North Coast is a delightful time to see flowers. At the annual Point Arena Flower Power Festival there's an artisan craft fair, fresh cut Daffodil flowers for sale, flower arrangement competition and more. Judging will be throughout the day. Winners will be announced at 2:30 pm.

In Downtown Point Arena, fresh Cioppino from the Pier Chowder House, sweet treats from PCCS and a giant daffodil photo booth for selfies from 11a.m. - 2 p.m. under the awning at the Arena Theater. At 1 p.m. the Arena Theater will be showing National Theater Live from London: "A Streetcar Named Desire." Action Networks will have a variety of kid's entertainment from 11a.m. - 3 p.m. The Point Arena Light Station hosts a whale talk at 4 p.m. At the Coast Community Library, Scrabble Tournament fro 5 p.m. -8 p.m. At 215 Main Wine Bar, Karl Young Quark-tet--Jazz will be playing at 7 pm. At The Pier Chowder House, a 5 course Ninkasi Beer and dinner pairing will be held at 6:30 pm. Reservations are required (707) 882- 3400. Location: different locations, Point Arena.
