Pretend City Children's Museum provides

The Children's Museum at La Habra opened
in December 1977 and is located in a
historic 1923 Train Depot. It features 7
galleries and 14 different hands on
exhibits, many of which remain unique to
the field today. In addition to these
exhibits, an outdoor dinosaur topiary
and historic 1942 caboose, the Museum
features an exhibit which changes 4
times a year. The Children's Museum at
La Habra was the first children's museum
to open west of the Rocky Mountains, and
was one of only a few such museums to
open on the West Coast during the 1970s.
The Children's Museum welcomes local,
national and international visitors.
Children can ride a kid-size carousel,
take a walk in T-Rex's footprints, pet
an Arctic fox, pump gas, drive a bus,
dress up and perform, and dig for
fossils all in one afternoon!

Nestled in Pasadena, California's
Brookside Park, next to the Rose Bowl
Stadium, is Kidspace Children's Museum,
Southern California's "Premiere
Children's Museum." With just about four
acres of land, Kidspace has over 25
interactive exhibits, in addition to
gardens, arroyo streams, and frequent
daily/weekly activities. Designed for
kids between 12 months and 10 years old,
Kidspace provides children the
opportunity to explore the physical,
natural and environmental sciences while
having a lot of fun. While at Kidspace
they can dig for fossils, climb 40 foot
towers, see a real bee hive, or even
start an earthquake. In addition to the
regular programs and events, Kidspace
also offers parenting classes, camps,
art and it is the perfect place for
