Hermosa Beach Pier is generally busy most days. But during the annual Fiesta Hermosa expect major crowds out enjoying the sunny Southern California attraction, an anchor to the street event featuring vendors, live music and entertainment. One of many California public piers offers free fishing, great strolls and lots to do such as eating at the restaurants next to the pier and Hermosa Avenue.

There's a statue paying homage to surfing located at the base of the pier and many people love to take a photo there. During Christmas, the city or Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce installs its community tree not far from the statue, and often hosts an official tree lighting ceremony.

Just a few miles from Los Angeles International Airport, some are lucky enough to get a glimpse of the pier as their flights pass by. It's great to see it from the air, but so much better to be there!
