We've been to Knott's Merry Farm 20 times at least, and while it's a fun outing, it's probably not the best choice for people seeking Disneyland entertainment or even Universal Studios Hollywood commercialism. The charm of Knotts Merry Farm is completely down-home and some would even say old-fashioned.

If you're a fan of Christmas, Knotts Merry Farm fills the bill at nearly half the price of other theme parks in Southern California - not to mention the food is pretty good.  You get to see the Snoopy Ice Show without paying big fees that Disney charges when they take their ice skating shows on the road. At Knotts, it's included with admission and it features many of the same professional skaters as the other ice shows.

• A Peanuts Guide to Christmas: Head for Camp Snoopy Theatre. See Peanuts crew offer wisdom in a primer designed to help kids and adults survive the holidays with cheerful mash-ups of holiday songs provided by the Peanuts gang. Take a picture with your favorite character at Peanuts Meet and Greet Area.
• It's The Merriest Christmas Show Ever, Charlie Brown: Peanuts Gang, under the direction of Charlie Brown, put on the greatest Christmas pageant ever on the Calico Mine Stage. Holiday classics spread Christmas cheer, woven through a script detailing Charlie's wish to spend Christmas with his family and Snoopy, who is visiting his family around the world. Celebrate Christmas with Charlie, Sally and the Peanuts gang, and see if Snoopy makes it home in time.
• Calico Carolers: A quartet of Victorian-clad female & male singers harmonize in songs of the season throughout Ghost Town.

• Calico Saloon Christmas Show: Grab a boysenberry beer or sarsaparilla and watch the stage light up with Cameo Kate and Dakota Dan's Old West, Christmas-themed show.
• Christmas Crafts Village: Chainsaw wood carvers and glass blowing artisans ply their craft in Ghost Town, which transforms into a shopping wonderland. Dozens of artisans sell  unique gifts before Christmas. Entrance to the Knott's
• Merry Christmas, Snoopy! Ice Show: World-class ice skaters perform with Snoopy and the Peanuts cast in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre's annual ice spectacular. Snoopy skates through the holiday season, trimming the Christmas tree, attending the festive Christmas Ball and awaiting Santa's arrival.

• Snow and Glow Show: Every night during Merry Farm, when the sun sets on the Farm, the buildings and paths in Ghost Town's Main Street and School House Road are filled with glow and snow! Thousands of sparkling lights dance to the beat of Christmas music while snow gently falls in this spectacular one-of-a-kind moment.
• Santa's Christmas Cabin: Wilderness Dance Hall in Ghost Town joyously transforms into Santa's Christmas Cabin for the holiday season. Create fond new memories with the entire family by visiting the jolly fellow himself, Santa Claus. Santa is sure to delight the young and young at heart. Send your season greetings to family and loved ones with special picture of the occasion, pictures can be purchased onsite. Indulge in one-of-kind seasonal treats like Santa's freshly-baked cookies, mouthwatering pastries, exquisite chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, seasonal craft beers, gourmet hot chocolate with marshmallows and hot spiced holiday wine, plus much more.

Ice Skating spectacular!

Knott's Berry Farm magically transforms into Knott's Merry Farm this holiday season.

 Guests of all ages can embrace the joy of Christmas at Knott's Merry Farm, with classic shows like the Holiday Ice Show featuring Snoopy, the Peanuts Gang and a cast of world class ice skaters, the nightly tree lighting ceremony and The Christmas Carol. Plus stroll through the merry streets of Calico for unique seasonal treats, Santa's Christmas Cabin, traditional live Christmas Carolers, a Christmas Crafts Village, an enchanting Snow and Glow show with nightly falling snow, and so much more.

Also in the spirit of the season, Knott's Merry Farm is proud to present the ice spectacular over at the Walter Knott Theater, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang take to the ice in Snoopy's Night Before Christmas. This guest favorite returns with the Knott’s Ice-Skating Ensemble and Snoopy retelling the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” re-imagined Peanuts style.. The show, performed in the 2,100-seat Charles M. Schulz Theatre, is hosted by the famous skating Beagle and features Knott's ensemble skaters, dazzling sets, colorful costumes and plenty of surprises. The show is included with regular Park admission.
