The dates for fruit festivals in California are being announced and the season always gets off to a great start with the Date Festival in Indio held in conjunction with the Riverside County Fair. These annual food events showcase some of California’s top fruits, and usually include vendors selling the items in dishes. Often you’ll find celebrity chefs or cooking demos, and there’s always an element of family fun with shows, concerts, carnivals and other entertainment to enjoy. If you can’t make it to these fun events, be sure to check out your local farmer’s markets for some California certified produce guaranteed to be grown in California!
