California’s Plant Based August Food, Beverage Festivals

There’s a popular saying, “You are what you eat.” Californians are sometimes referred to as “fruits” and “nuts”, perhaps because the state is the top grower and producer of most types of nuts and many vegetables and fruits, as well.

If you’re into the plant-based movement, hold your horses before heading out to a food festival in August because the majority of such events feature a crop (or beverages created from them such as beer, coffee or wine,) but the majority do not eliminate meat options from their events as food trucks and BBQ foods during summer months still draw big crowds.
