Capitola by the Sea in Santa Cruz County is a beautiful beach city worth a visit on your next coastal trip. One of our favorite events held on Labor Day Weekend was the annual Begonial Festival. Residents plant begonias used to decorate the boats that travel along the bay and waterways in a unique parade. There are many events to enjoy in Capitola, including the festive Surfing Santa who arrives from the Pacific Ocean to greet the kids and hear their wishes on the beach! It's a blast.
