Carlsbad, California Flower Fields Open for Spring

Carlsbad, Calif.- The Flower Fields opened in March, providing brilliant displays of red, orange, yellow and white in long rows of flowers showcasing Tecolote Ranunculus. While Lompoc Flower Fields disappeared from the Central Coast and much of the California landscape is sorely missing its commercial flower enterprise that the public can enjoy, the Carlsbad Flower Fields were created as an attraction and legacy in 1993. Open to the public for daily viewing, the attraction invites you to visit and take photos of the beautiful fields.

Among the highlights in 2011 is an American Flag on a hillside, created in red, white and blue anemone flowers; Sweet Pea Maze; and an historic Poinsettia Display in a 1,500 square foot greenhouse. Special events are also held on certain days.
