Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is located along Highway 1 - California's Big Sur coast 37 miles south of Carmel.
The jewel of the park is McWay Falls, the only coastal waterfall in California. McWay Creek drops 80 feet
over a granite cliff. The cove is exceptionally beautiful, with bright turquoise blue water, white sand, grassy and
rocky bluffs. The inland hills are covered with chaparral, oak and redwood.

In early and late winter this vantage point is a great spot to view whales, on their migration route to and from
warmer waters around Baja California.

Linda Bonniwell, Member of International President's Circle, for Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance in Long Beach, Ca. submitted the Phil Bonniwell photograph in memory of her husband.
