With one of the few trees in California actually located on an ocean pier, Pismo Beach Pier Christmas Tree is the highlight of an annual tree lighting ceremony. Usually held the first week in December, the event date is December 3, 2010. Holiday Harmony & Tree Lighting Holiday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Downtown Pismo Beach at the Beach Bum Holiday Rental parking lot. Snow for kids, Santa arriving on a fire truck, carolers, hot drinks and cookies, all make for a beach holiday celebrated in Classic California style! Pismo Beach on the Central California coast captures the essence of an old-fashioned beach town. Many hotels overlook the Pacific Ocean or are located on the beach. The Pismo Dunes are located there, as well.
