In December 2017 the committee for the Centennial met to discuss the celebration fundraising and plans.

  • Pre-Council Event Monday, Feb 26, 2018, 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm Kick off the festivities with birthday cake. Historical photographs will be displayed and the proclamation will be read by the Ceres Mayor. Stay for the city council meeting from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Taste of Ceres Friday, March 23 Time TBD Ceres Community Center Gala Event Details will be announced at a later time.
  • Saturday, May 5 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Sunday, May 6 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Come and join the fun. Rain or shine there will be many activities, vendors, live entertainment and more, perfect event for families.

Manteca, California June 5, 1918

Population in 2018: 78,000 people

Calipatria Feb. 28, 1919. The City of Calipatria was incorporated on February 28, 1918. Calipatria is home to the tallest flagpole in the United States, which stands at 184 feet where the flag flies at sea level.
