Enjoy an evening of holiday music, shopping and dining in Downtown Manhattan Beach! Come with family and friends and help kick-off the holiday season! 

The Annual Pier Lighting and Holiday Open House joyfully offers an evening of holiday music, shopping and dining all at one great location, Downtown Manhattan Beach. The annual Pier Lighting and Holiday Open House is the official start of the holiday season in Manhattan Beach. It is also downtown Manhattan Beach's local restaurants, retail stores and businesses way of saying thank you to their customers and community for their support and patronage throughout the year. Downtown merchants will be open, restaurants will be serving their original menus and some sampling to get your palette started for an evening of wonderful food. Bring your kids and remember your shopping list!  City of Manhattan Beach and the Downtown Business and Professional Association will be lighting the streets for the holidays with snowflake lights and lighted street banner. Festival of Lights Metlox Plaza will have the Festival of Lights (solar powered).

 Metlox Fountain Plaza (13th Street and Morningside Drive)

• Santa, Sleigh, Family Pictures (Ralph's Photography), Treats, Face Painting, Jack Tracy Ukulele, and balloon artist 5-9 p.m.
• Strolling Dickens-style Carolers by Harmony Carolers and A Holiday Affair, Michael Holmes on guitar 6:30-9 p.m.

• Live Reindeer in front of {pages} a bookstore; Dietz Brothers Band at 10th street; Hyperion Outfall Serenaders at Chase Bank (MBB); Larry's Tacos at Manhattan Dental Solutions, 1213 Manhattan Avenue; Bubblemania

The Holiday Open House is your downtown local restaurants', retail stores' and businesses' way of saying thank you to our customers and community for their support and patronage throughout the year. Come celebrate our annual Holiday Open House together with the City of Manhattan Beach Pier Lighting Ceremony. Downtown merchants will be open until 9 p.m. and are sure to offer some distinctive gifts and intriguing offers this holiday season. Our restaurants will be serving their original menus and some sampling is sure to get your palette started for an evening of wonderful food.

The evening includes:

6:00 p.m. Pier Lighting Ceremony with live entertainment
Mayor will flip the switch at 7:00 p.m. and illuminate the Pier with holiday lights
Carolers and strolling musicians throughout the entire downtown
Santa and his helpers

Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks Festival

The Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks Festival is held at the Pier every year in December. Bring blankets, beach chairs and coolers to pick a spot for the spectacular show. The Holiday Fireworks are expected to go forward, rain or shine, on Sunday.
