Opened in 2009 by Italian proprietors, Stefano and Tammi Bernardi, the co-owners of Via Vai and Pane e Vino in Montecito are not new to the restaurant business--or to savory flavors utilizing local produce, fresh catch of the day and a variety of sustainable sources.

The restaurant, like so many Ojai eateries, offers hospitality with every bite. On our visit we opted for the outdoor patio under the shade of an umbrella during one of those world-famous spring days that only Ojai offers with its dry air and comfortable 78 degree temps.
The food server was an absolutely charming lady who served cool drink and unbounded enthusiasm in helping us pick our light summer selection for an afternoon lunch.
