Alameda's Earth Day Festival wants to present simple lifestyle changes to help the environment. Zero Waste is one of those simple changes.

Zero Waste is a new way of thinking about the products we purchase and materials we consume. This philosophy supports product redesign so that all products are recyclable or compostable at the end of their useful life.

Enjoy FREE activities for the kids, Earth Day games and exhibits and learn about building a clean, healthy, sustainable world for generations to come.

ZERO WASTE TEAM SCULPTING CONTEST
Saturday, April 16, 2011

Grab your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and enter as a team in our ZERO WASTE TEAM SCULPTING CONTEST. You must enter as a team and all teams must have a minimum of 2 people. Supplies will be given on the day of the event. This contest is free and open to all ages. Pre-registration not required - just register on the morning of the event.

The contest will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Judging will take place from 1 to 2 p.m.
Awards will be announced and presented at 2:30 p.m.
