The Parade launches the weekend celebration. It features the Mayor in a car, City Council member, Fair board members, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with color guard and banners and ends with Mira Costa Marching Band and Drill Teams, then Manhattan Beach Middle School Chorus singing the National Anthem.
Two days of family fun include not just a line up of awesome bands, local dance groups performing on stage and winners of the band contest, but contests you'll find at old-fashioned fairs such as diaper derby, 3-legged race, sack race, hula hoop contest, and water balloon toss. The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair offers a little bit of country mixed with the cool beach vibe and urban sophistication in vendor shopping and foods you can buy.

The Fair is fun for all ages. Great fair food, beautiful arts and crafts from hand selected vendors, free entertainment on their Main Stage and South Stage, games for kids of all ages and of course, the Kid's Country are just some of the venues available for visitors. The goal of the community fair is to create a weekend event where locals can support each other as customers and operators of fun booths while raising funds for local charity organizations. This event is a Manhattan Beach tradition!
The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair is organized by an all-volunteer, local residents, non-profit board of directors. Their goal is to maintain the hometown feel that makes this event popular.
