The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum Annual Family Kite Festival is a free event with contests, food (for a fee, possibly), live entertainment and more. will be at the Rotary Centennial Park on two fields. Field 1 will be the main field and will be the site where all the interaction with kites will take place.
Field 2 will feature award winning champions from around the world, demonstrating Kite Ballet, Kite Precision, and Kite Freestyling. The festival is open to amateurs and professionals off all ages. Bring your own kite or buy one at the festival. Food and refreshments available to purchase.
