Ocean Beach Pier in
Ocean Beach, a community of San
Diego, is California's
2nd
longest "over the ocean" pier, and certainly one of the
most challenging to photograph. Though
many great pictures are taken of this
pier, few show the size and shape. The
pier starts at the base of a hill and
begins to slope downward, then back up
again, where it splits in a T
formation. It's quite unusual among
California piers! In fact, we can think
of another quite like it.
On the pier you'll find lots of
people out for pleasure strolls.
Children and adults wander and enjoy the
fresh ocean breezes. There is also a
beach cafe with ocean views on the pier.
Ocean Beach Pier Cafe features outdoor
tables or indoor seating with nautical
themes and fishnets hanging from the
ceiling. It sells breakfast, lunch
& dinner all year long.
If you love beaches, OB is a must visit. Other San Diego beaches include
Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and the
La Jolla beaches.
