Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park

At Christmas Chico has an annual Tree Lighting ceremony with the arrival of Santa on a Fire Engine.

Chico's Treat Street Trick or Treat normally takes place on Halloween Day, Oct. 31, providing downtown trick or treating and even a costume contest for kids.

Spring Jamboree is another tradition that combines an Easter Egg Hunt with a festival atmosphere. It is sponsored by Parks & Rec Dept. of the city, and usually held on a Saturday close to Easter Sunday.
