If you think you can’t make a difference, take a look at San Joaquin Asparagus Fest. When it was set to disband several years ago a brave couple with passion for community took it over, deciding not to let the wildly popular celebration go bye-bye. Thanks to them, you can eat deep-fried asparagus, asparagus ice cream, pizza and so much more this week in Stockton.
