Have a spooktacularly good time as the Zoo transforms

Put on your costumes and head to the Zoo for an outdoor Halloween spell-ebration! Discover frightfully fun decor and photo opps, all while visiting your favorite animals. The Zoo will be open regular operating hours in line with modified and approved COVID-19 safety measures, including limited capacity. The Spooky Zoo experience is free with Zoo admission; online reservations are required. Reserve general admission tickets here, and SB Zoo Member tickets here. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, cloth or surgical face coverings that cover your nose and mouth must be worn while in the Zoo; no costume head or face masks permitted. Keep costumes child-friendly: no gore or realistic weapons.

What we love best about this charming zoo is the location. Just up the hill from the Pacific Ocean, the weather is some of the finest. With little ones wearing their Halloween costumes, they won't get too hot.

Annual Pumpkin Smash arrives on November 26, 2020 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. It's a smashing good time to watch the elephants, gorillas, and favorite Zoo animals get pumpkins to play and interact with.
