OJAI, CA -Ojai WordFest is a festival of words, ideas and stories unfolding in one of the most beautiful settings in California: the majestic Ojai Valley. Readers and writers of all genres, skill level, and ages partake in an extravaganza of hosted events around Ojai.

FRIDAY KICK OFF 2016 WordFest with Tequila Mockingbird – Happy Hour Cocktails with a Literary Twist (5-7pm at The Vine, No Host Bar) followed by an author reading 7pm at Book Ends, FREE.

For a select few (want to be one of them?), we get the par-tay started with a day writing retreat, we call ‘Spa-tacular Writing,' at the Ojai Valley Inn Resort's Moroccan-themed day spa. Surrounded by fragrant smells of rosemary and lavender, write in your robe at one of the resort's seven pools. Ahhh – imagine the relaxation and inspiration already. It's one of the highlights of WordFest and an annual tradition! Join us. (9:30am – 5:30pm, $249 for all genres, includes lunch and all-access pass to the $90 million renovated, Five Diamond resort. Spa treatments extra.)

Lectures and events around the valley at Ojai Public Library, Soul Centered, Book Ends, Barts Books, Center for Spiritual Living and The Krishnamurti Foundation.
