Anaheim Convention Center in its sixth remodel since 1967 when it was built has become a gleaming glass structure that now boasts the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast at 815,000 square feet of exhibit space.
It is an esthetically pleasing venue with its open views of light by day and Grand Plaza's singular design for outdoor events and large gatherings such as alfresco dining, concerts, receptions, exhibitions and meetings.
The outdoor, 100,000 square foot space off Convention Way includes a pedestrian esplanade between the entrance to the Anaheim Convention Center, Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott hotels. Lined with over 150 palm trees, 60 orange trees reminiscent of Anaheim and Orange County's citrus industry, a river of lights in the middle of the plaza, water features symbolizing the mountains and ocean, a 48-foot lighted entry monument, and more than 80,000 square feet of colored concrete and pavers were designed with LED technology and drought tolerance for plants and trees.
Directly across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center is Disneyland. Guests can walk over to the theme park, buy tickets on the spot and enter. At the convention center there are also several hotels on-location such as Hilton
