I just received my 2017 holiday e-card from The Almond Board of California, which sings the praises of California nuts. According to them, there are billions of nuts in California:

• In the past year domestic shipments of almonds marked the largest in
  history at 676 million pounds.
• For the 8th year in a row more than 1 billion pounds were exported.
• California is the #1 grower of almonds and other nut crops

In December there’s some confusion about nuts, seeing how California is also the top producer of (The Nut) Nutcracker ballet. If you don’t believe it, look at these events coming up (tickets still available)!
